Dry Mouth

Dry mouth or Xerostomia is a condition that is becoming more prevalent in our aging society. It is commonly related to the medications taken by adults but can be a consequence of certain health conditions, such as Sjogren's syndrome. Tooth decay can become rampant with dry mouth. Decay along the gumline is typical of xerotomia. The patient below displays classic dry mouth symptoms.
